SUNCleanMD Self-cleaning Glass

SunClean self-cleaning glass was provided with a transparent and integrated durable layer when it was manufactured. Upkeep is much easier than with ordinary glass, although the cleaning process does not take place instantaneously as is the case with a self-cleaning oven, for example. This glass is installed outside the insulating glass and can be combined with other types of glass, not just ordinary glass.

Unlike commercial buildings that are regularly furnished with tinted glass, residential buildings almost exclusively require clear glass or glass resembling clear glass such as Solarban® 60. The bigger and/or longer the surface, the more the insulating pane must be made of thick glass.

The tint of this Low-E glass closely resembles clear glass, even though it could not pass for clear glass if it were displayed next to clear glass. Solarban® 60 is not suitable for non-standard dimensions. A significant proportion of insulating window panes are now made of Solarban® 60 glass because it improves the performance of a door or window. See the Climaver Energy Glass tab.

Bronze tinted glass is occasionally the glass of choice of architects and designers. Tinted glass effectively reduces light from the sun. On the other hand, day light is also reduced proportionally. Unlike Solarban® 60 glass, it does not increase the insulating power of a window. The thicker the tinted glass is, the more pronounced its tint is.

Opaque satin glass is the most popular glass for discretion. It has been acid etched and resembles a sandblasted glass, while at the same time is more resistant to finger marks than the latter. It lends itself well to the manipulation that is needed in the manufacture of insulating glass.
